Blackwoods by the Shore

Ten minutes drive down the Channel highway from my home in Kingston is the small township of Margate. After buying apples at the local Meredith’s Orchard, my husband and I love to buy a coffee at Banjos and drive down to the Margate shore to sit and chat, looking out over North West bay.
We watch the birdlife in the water and trees, the people walking their dogs along the footpath, and the kids passing by on bikes. Occasionally we see dolphins in the water, and always we feel so lucky to live our daily lives here where natural beauty is never far away.
This artwork was inspired by the shimmering, calm waters of the bay framed by the elegant twisting branches of young Blackwood trees.
