This artwork was inspired by the reflections of trees silhouetted against the sky, on the smooth surface of a creek at Adventure Bay, Bruny Island.
During an early morning walk along the creek estuary, the water was glass smooth, and the reflections as clear and bright as the landscape above the water. There was a strong contrast between the foliage shadows at the edge of the water, the bright sky, and the rippling reflections. In the foreground, river reeds covered the bank.
