For visitors to the Mount Field National Park it is an easy walk through temperate rainforest to visit Russell Falls, one of the best known and beautiful waterfalls in Tasmania. After viewing it from below, you can follow a track that climbs up the side of the falls to the top, to stand where the river meets the first cascade near an old mossy tree.
This artwork was inspired by the view from half way up this track, looking across into the distant rainforest, eucalypt forest, and mountains.
